Annapolis Treasure Hunt Divers

“The weather was once again very cooperative with bright blue sky’s and calm seas. The weather contributed to a super weekend event – celebrating the 1st year of the Annapolis being down under. Saturday had 14 divers looking for pre-placed golf balls. Each ball had a number and the diver with the lowest number picked 1st and had a choice of various prizes. Each diver then followed based on the next highest number. prizes varied from Dive Masks, Knives, Books, Videos, Caps, etc. A delicious BBQ of hamburgers and hotdogs followed. Enjoyed by all on the Topline. All divers received a commemorative T-Shirt to mark the occasion. The treasure hunt took place at depths from the main deck to the top of the hanger. No penetration was involved. The visibility was 10-15′ on Saturday with noted improvement by Jan as she and Josh placed balls back for the Sunday group of divers. On Saturday they were able to see across the decks! Sunday was 1 treasure wreck dive, followed by prize selection. The 2nd Dive was at drop me off wall and for those of you who viewed Alan’s post – the visibility at depth was approximately 50′. Lots of life at both locations but the big prize were 2 octo’s sited by several dive teams. Sunday also marked our first Snorkel with Seals trip of the season! Many happy seals were sunbathing on Pam Rocks, and our snorkelers who were visiting from India had a true West Coast experience! See you soon!” – Captain Kevin
